After a relaxing weekend in the mountains (quite the change from the last post, huh?), we came back home to a beautiful sunny afternoon and sixty degree weather. Is there anything more refreshing than a sunny warm day in the winter? It speaks to my soul. We headed off to our park and enjoyed a fun afternoon in the fresh air
JT discussing tire tracks and the missing backhoe loader that was at our park the last time we went (three months ago).
JT loves to play pretend restaurant here. His speciality today was banilla ice cream with car sprinkles.
This was the first time at the park where Elizabeth could "play." She crawled up the steps and enjoyed exploring.
Brian and Elizabeth watching the dogs at the dog park. She said "woof-woof" on Friday for the first time. She seems to really like animals, more than JT did at that age.
JT on the rock wall. Basically he is always giving a running commentary on what he is doing. Here he is telling me how someone finally tightened down the yellow peg and how he thinks they did it and why did they take so long and so on and so forth.
Whizzie (my nickname for her at the moment) climbing up these stairs. I would not say that she is fearless or reckless, but she is tenacious and curious. She cautiously tries to go almost everywhere.
It was a great family weekend. One that was desparately needed. I am so thankful for my simple life.
Glad you had a great weekend. Sounds like it was just what you needed and thanks for sharing your bad week. Like you I try to keep my blog positive but it's nice knowing other mommy's out there struggle sometimes. Have a great trip home! Say hi to your family for me. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend - my favorite kind too. I see a lot of your mom in that picture of Whizzie! :)
