For the fourth of July this year, we took Brian's parents up to the cabin and had just the best weekend. We went to this great festival that the town of West Jefferson puts on every year. We watched a great firework show on the fourth. We ate a ton of delicious fourth of July food and had such a fun time as a family.

Elizabeth kicking off the weekend with a sweet/super excited smile.

JT listening to some mountain music at the Christmas in July festival in West Jefferson.

Elizabeth happy as can be at the festival.

JT and I on a hike. I love how little he looks when we are in the woods.

Elizabeth "flying" with Neenie

My in-laws (Jeannie and Don or Neenie and Don, as JT calls them- yes, he calls his Granddaddy, Don. It cracks us up.) waiting for the fireworks.

Our family of four waiting. Elizabeth is clearly having the time of her life.

Burning the midnight oil.
Elizabeth usually goes to sleep at 8:00, but here she was at 9:00 living it up and loving the "late night" outing.

E's first fireworks. She wasn't scared a bit. Her expression never changed the whole firework show. She just stared at the different colors.

JT literally had a running commentary going the whole time the fireworks were going off- everything from "boom-boom" (which is what he is saying here) to wanting a snack to talking about the fireflies that were flying around. He clearly loved the whole night.
