This morning I went to another amazing Bible Study. (Last week was cancelled due to the snowstorm.) Today we studied Jehovah- Shammah (The LORD is There). We discussed how and where God's presence is felt and how it changes our lives. I was most struck but how God's presence does not mean a problem will go away. It means we will be able to deal with a problem and still have hope.
John 17:24 says,
"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world." Jesus is talking about His deep desire for us to be with Him- to know His glory in heaven. Just as God loved Jesus before the creation of the world, He loves us also.
He carries our burdens. He walks through fires, floods, valleys, and even death with us. The LORD is everywhere you go. That is hope. To put your hope in a God that is bigger than every situation and to feel forgivenss from a perfect God is the only way to experience grace and truly change. I pray that today you will know that God is there and He deeply, deeply loves you.
